The Lansing Police Department announced Friday that a resolution has been made in the previously unsolved 2009 homicide of 19-year-old Edric Hinton.
In an initial news release, police said there had been an arrest, soon after police sent out an update changing that to a “resolution,” with officials planning to explain more during a Monday news conference.
Hinton was visiting with acquaintances at 916 W. Cavanaugh on Aug. 1, 2009, when he was hit by a bullet that went through an apartment window from the outside, according to a Crimestoppers of Mid-Michigan bulletin that officials have updated to include the word “solved” over top…
