Teen boy injured in Saturday shooting, Lansing police say

LANSING — A 13-year-old boy suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being shot Saturday night, Lansing police said.

The teen victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police have not made any arrests in the incident, Lansing Police Department Sgt. Dustin Belill said Sunday.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Ingham Street and Risdale Avenue in the southwest area of the city about 10 p.m. after a report of shots fired, Belill said.

Witnesses told police the shooting stemmed from a fight, Belill said.
