CHEBOYGAN COUNTY — Gov. Gretchen Whitmer activated the State Emergency Operations Center at 10 a.m. April 10 in Lansing to coordinate state efforts regarding rising water levels at the Cheboygan Lock and Dam Complex.
Record snowfall in March and recent rain caused water levels on the Cheboygan River to rise within 18 inches of the top of the dam over the last 24 hours.
