Flooding closes roads, impacts businesses across mid-Michigan

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Flooding across mid-Michigan has closed roads and block customer access to businesses.

Some areas are experiencing higher water levels than residents have seen in years. The flooding has impacted multiple areas in the Lansing region, including Kalamazoo Street near the US-127 highway ramp. This is a prone spot, but it’s now made its way farther down the strip, closing off Homer Street as well.

High water levels can also be seen on Sycamore Creek in Holt and areas along the Red Cedar River at Michigan State University. Police have blocked multiple sidewalks and roads on MSU’s campus due to flooding…
