LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Habitat for Humanity Capital Region announced plans to sell its retail properties in St. Johns and Williamston.
The Lansing-based nonprofit said the move is intended to consolidate retail activities and more effectively deploy financial resources. Retail operations will continue at its Lansing location, with a focus on improving the customer experience, increasing inventory turnover and expanding its capacity to serve the community.
“This is a data-driven and mission-driven decision,” said Brent Taylor, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Capital Region. “By simplifying our footprint, we can significantly improve the financial contribution that the retail operation makes toward mission-fulfillment while continuing to focus our time, energy, and resources on the work that matters most—serving our community and advancing affordable housing in the Capital Region.
