LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Dozens of expecting and new parents gathered Saturday in Lansing for the fourth annual Community Baby Shower, a free event that paired giveaways and family-friendly activities with direct connections to local support services.
More than 60 Ingham County families registered, and the event offered baby essentials, raffle prizes, free massages, food and games — all at no cost.
“This came out of love. Sharde and I are both doulas. We started this work in 2020, and we kept going, creating community baby showers,” said Domonique Brace, one of the co-founders of North Star Birthing Services. “But our baby shower is unlike any other one that’s in the community.
