LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – The Fremont Street Experience is hosting the latest concert in its Downtown Rocks Summer Series. Mayday Parade is taking the 3rd Street Stage at 9 p.m. On Saturday, nearly a month after the same stage saw several reports of fans fainting due to the extreme heat and overcrowding at a Sleeping With Sirens concert.
It was July 11 when multiple people posted to social media about the conditions at the concert. Photos shared with 8 News Now showed the crowd of people pushed up against nearby casino doors as the free concert took place. Other photos showed fans getting medical attention after reportedly fainting.
“I don’t think they were equipped for the crowd that was going to be there, and by the time they realized it, it was too late,” concertgoer Sydnee Chinery said in a July 16 interview with 8 News Now. “It was getting worse and worse.
