Man Rescued After Falling Into Drainage Tunnel During Storm In Las Vegas

A man was rescued from fast-moving water after falling into a drainage tunnel during a storm in Las Vegas, officials said.

The Clark County Fire Department said crews responded shortly after 10 p.m. on Sept. 28 to a report that a man had fallen over a bridge into a drainage tunnel near Twain Avenue and Eastern Avenue. The incident took place as a heavy storm moved through the area, and the tunnel was filled with rushing water.

Firefighters arrived to find an adult man standing in the water, but efforts to deploy rope bags were unsuccessful due to both the distance and the speed of the moving water.
