Given the difference in their ages, sisters Maddy Cohen and Margaret Cohen never swam against each other while growing up, but these days they do compete as coaches in the venerable Gwinnett County Swim League.
Both Maddy and Margaret (along with their middle sister Emma Claire) began their respective swimming careers with the Flowers Crossing Mighty Marlins, located in the Brookwood High School cluster. They competed for a number of years for SwimAtlanta, and the sisters also swam with distinction for Brookwood.
“As soon as I was old enough to swim, my parents put me in summer league,” said Margaret, who graduated from Brookwood in the spring of 2025. “My sisters were eight and six years older than I was, so they were already in the rhythm of the pool when I was thrown into it.”…
