Dancing with the DeKalb Stars wrapped up its sixth event on April 18, featuring another resource fair, numerous fundraising initiatives, and the county’s premier dance-off in front of a sold-out crowd at Porter Sanford III Performing Arts Center in Decatur.
The yearly event is hosted by DeKalb County Solicitor-General Donna Coleman-Stribling’s office. It is highlighted by a dance competition featuring dance professionals teamed up with local celebrities and community members, but the resource fair and the fundraising initiatives set the event apart as one of the most important in DeKalb.
The solicitor-general’s office uses the event to raise money for International Women’s House and Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence.
