LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Flash flooding around Lexington and central Kentucky slowed workers down on their commutes, filled waterways to the brim, and halted road work.
The area has been in a drought in the last few weeks, and the rain is a shock to the system.
“And the problem is, the ground prior to this storm was very hard,” said Fayette Co. Judge Executive Michael Mueller.
