Fourth of July events fill downtown Lexington through holiday week

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Lexington is continuing its Fourth of July celebrations with a slate of events across downtown and other city locations, including live music, races, a parade, a public reading of the Declaration of Independence, fireworks and a “Hamilton” sing-along showing.

Lexington Parks and Recreation crews have posted temporary parking signs, set up stages and made other event preparations downtown for the holiday festivities.
