Over the past week, the Trigg County FFA Chapter spent time at the Kentucky FFA State Convention in Lexington competing against numerous other chapters from all over Kentucky.
The chapter as a whole received a Gold rating, which makes the chapter eligible to compete at the national level for a 3, 2, or 1 star rating.
As for individual competitions, Jennie Watts was the Champion in the Agriculture Communications proficiency, Lexie Valentine gave a fruit and vegetable speech, Akia Kearney participated in the dairy speech competition, Kacey Kearney competed in the goat and sheep speech category, Ella Chalfin competed in extemporaneous public speaking, Ethan Curling gave a turf and lawn speech, and Kiley Slone participated in the nursery speech competition…
