As one door closes, another opens. Missouri star Mark Mitchell has been granted a temporary injunction in Louisville, paving the path for his immediate eligibility and a new transfer portal window that could lead him to Lexington.
Hans Poppe, whose firm helped the Texas Trial Group file Mitchell’s case, along with 12 other plaintiffs, announced early Friday afternoon that Judge Brian Edwards has granted their request for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction. That will allow plaintiffs to receive a fifth year of eligibility to play in 2026-27.
Poppe shared the official court opinion and order on social media.
Other plaintiffs include Skyy Clark (UCLA, basketball), Thomas Castellanos (Florida State, football) and Billy Smith, Levavium (LJ) Wells II (NKU, basketball), Donovan Oday (McNeese State, basketball), D’Angelo Hutchinson (Louisville, football), Kayden Campbell (Louisville, baseball), Justin Allen (Wisconsin-Green Bay), basketball), Fred King (Murray State, basketball), Colin Porter (Liberty, basketball), Albert Vargas Frito (Robert Morris, basketball) and Jabari Mack (Louisville, football)…
