Lexington moving company feels pinch of high diesel prices

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Gas prices are nearing record highs in Central Kentucky, and local moving companies are feeling the pinch of diesel costs.

Officials with Vincent Fisher, a Lexington-based moving company specializing in local and long-distance moving, said that they worry that the $5.69 average cost of the fuel will cut into profits.

“We can survive shortcomings like this. But if fuel prices stay the same and rates didn’t increase, it would be hard to run the same amount of trucks. But yeah, we expect them to go back down in the next few months like they typically do,” said Vincer Fisher Director of Marketing Michael Collins…
