LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A Lexington man was sentenced to 20 years in prison in federal court Tuesday for distributing the fentanyl that led to a 2023 overdose death.
Twenty-seven-year-old Darryl Anderson Jr. admitted to Lexington police to selling the pills to the victim on multiple occasions before his death three years ago.
Investigators were led to Anderson after they found messages to a contact named “DJ” on the victim’s phone arranging to purchase marijuana and three “30″ pills at the scene of the crime. They also found fentanyl residue on a sink, a cut straw, and a counterfeit blue “M 30″ pill…
