LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A person was reportedly assaulted in downtown Lexington and sent to the hospital early Tuesday morning, and another person has reportedly been charged.
Around 1:20 a.m. on Sept. 15, officials with the Lexington Police Department said officers were dispatched to the 300 block of North Martin Luther King Boulevard for reports of a man who was assaulted with a weapon.

The victim was taken to the hospital by staff with the Lexington Fire Department, according to law enforcement. Investigators said the person accused of assaulting him was found a short distance away and had been charged, but authorities didn’t identify them.
