Dozens of Lexington-area restaurants joining Dining Out for Life, in support of AVOL Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Restaurants across Lexington, Richmond, Berea and Mt. Sterling will donate 25% of sales Thursday to AVOL Kentucky, a Lexington-based nonprofit that has provides free HIV and STI testing, education and services to the homeless population for nearly 40 years.

The event, called Dining Out for Life, is in its 18th year and runs all day Thursday.

More than 40 restaurants participating

Andrew Shayde, chief development officer at AVOL Kentucky, said customers only need to visit a participating restaurant and make a purchase.

“We have over 40 participating restaurants and bars and bakeries and coffee shops. Whatever your taste buds are fancying, that’s where you should go,” Shayde said…
