BEECH CREEK, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Muhlenberg County man has been arrested by Kentucky State Police and accused of shooting and injuring two men before threatening to kill several other witnesses throughout nearby communities.
The investigation started just before 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, per a news release. Troopers with KSP Post 2 were sent to the 200 block of Beech Creek Road in response to multiple calls about a man with a gun making threats.

Court documents identified the suspect as 62-year-old Harvey Lloyd Lear of Beech Creek and spoke with a victim, who claimed to be a friend of his, claiming that Lear allegedly shot him in the neck and hand. He said he’d been trying to feed Lear’s dog at the time.
After the victim was allegedly shot, he returned to his home and didn’t tell police due to his friendship with Lear, troopers noted. Emergency personnel took him to Owensboro Health for treatment…
