Hope for Central Kentucky has energized kickoff event at FBC Richmond

RICHMOND, Ky. (KT) — Sunday night’s kickoff event for Hope for Central Kentucky exceeded anything Jason Hay could have imagined or dreamed.

The large, spirit-filled crowd came ready to unite in bringing the region to Jesus. Churches and pastors from across the area attended in strong numbers, bringing their congregations for what Hay, evangelism strategist for the Kentucky Baptist Convention, described as an “amazing” night.

“Everything we prayed for having a great kickoff happened,” Hay said. “We prayed for the lost, the event and the churches involved. We had a chance to worship with the EKU BCM band, and they did such a great job and humbly led us to the throne.”

Hay’s message was simple: work together and watch God move through the events leading up to, and including, the crusade at the EKU Center for the Arts on campus. He said there is much work to be done, and Sunday night showed there were plenty of willing workers…
