Ky. Fish and Wildlife urging boaters to avoid waterways this Memorial Day Weekend

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) – Some counties in Central Kentucky, including Harrison County, saw flash flooding and rising water levels Sunday. In these unsafe conditions, Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Game Warden, James Brace, said avoiding a day on the boat this Memorial Day could prevent a tragedy.

“With more rain coming in we’re gonna encourage people to stay off the water this weekend,” Brace said.

“The drownings typically do rise in the summertime.”…
