Woman seriously injured, forced to miss work by Lincoln man, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) — A woman was seriously injured after an extended assault at a Lincoln home late last month, police say.

Court records show 54-year-old Michael Jones Jr. is charged with four felony counts related to strangulation, including an upgraded charge for serious injury, and terroristic threats.

Officers were called to CHI St. Elizabeth on May 13 after medical staff reported a woman with injuries suspected to be the result of domestic abuse. The 28-year-old woman with a multitude of injuries spoke to police five days later…
