Tecumseh prison inmate serving 60-year sentence for murder dies at Lincoln hospital

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – An inmate serving time for second-degree murder and for using a weapon to commit a felony out of Douglas County died Monday at a Lincoln hospital.

Sean Barrett, 60, was serving a 60-year sentence at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution. His sentence began on April 9, 2012.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) said the cause of death has not yet been determined, and Barrett was being treated for a medical condition…
