OMAHA – A severe weather threat is expected overnight between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. across parts of east-central and southeast Nebraska, with the greatest risk in areas south of Columbus, north of Lincoln and near Omaha, according to the alert.
The alert said wind-driven hail as large as tennis balls, up to 2.5 inches, could cause destructive damage to vehicles and roofs.
While very large hail is the primary concern, the storms also could bring damaging winds, flash flooding and the possibility of one or two tornadoes, according to the alert…
