Property Exchange in Downtown Lincoln Approved by Lancaster County Board

LINCOLN–(KFOR June 16)–The Lancaster County Board on Tuesday approved of several agreements to exchange properties in downtown Lincoln that would advance Star Tran’s new transportation center and the proposed convention center.

County commissioners approved of the county buying the south half of a block bounded by 13th and 14th Streets, “M” and “N” Streets for about $4.2-million to build a new parking garage for the proposed convention center on the north half of the block bounded by 13th and 14th Streets from “L” to “M” Streets, across from the Cornhusker Hotel.

County Board members also went ahead and approved of recommending the county will sell the property from 9th to 10th streets, “G” and “H” Streets to the city for $3.3-million to move forward with the new Star Tran hub…
