Nebraska casino tax receipts rebound in July; Lincoln total rises 16 percent

Nebraska’s licensed casinos generated more than $5.6 million in gaming-tax revenue during July, a nearly 13 percent increase from June, according to newly released state figures.

The Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission’s monthly report shows statewide gaming-tax receipts totaled $5,615,082 in July. That was up $636,949, or 12.8 percent, from approximately $4.98 million in June.

The July taxes were based on more than $28 million in gross gaming revenue reported by Nebraska’s five operating casinos. State law imposes a 20 percent tax on casino gaming revenue.
