LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Lincoln Fire and Rescue has earned the highest protection rating given to fire departments in the country, which could lead to lower insurance costs for homeowners and businesses.
The City of Lincoln announced Tuesday that the department received a Class 1 rating from the Insurance Services Office (ISO) Public Protection Classification program, a rating system that grades how well a fire department can prevent and respond to fires.
