Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying suspects in two recent theft cases. LPD’s Becky Keller says on Thursday, August 20 around 12:30 in the afternoon, cameras at Liberty First Credit Union captured a man coming out of the bushes and climbing underneath an RV parked in their parking lot.
“In the video you then hear what would later be determined to be the sound of a saw, Keller says. “The man climbs out from underneath the RV, catalytic converter in hand, and disappears back into the bushes.”
Keller says while the incident boldly happened during business hours, it wasn’t discovered until the buyer of the RV came to pick it up later that same day and noticed the catalytic converter missing. Keller says the suspect left behind their backpack which contained a Sawzall, blade, battery, flashlight, and other miscellaneous items. Check out the video below…
