LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A 6-foot cake was placed in front of the historic Pershing Mural in Wyuka Park this afternoon ahead of Perishing Mural Project’s social potluck.
The social will be hosted in the Lincoln Children’s Zoo green space on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. to fundraise for the mural’s endowment fund.
“This is a really wonderful idea,” Pershing Mural Historic Preservation Project Chair Liz Shea-McCoy said. “We’re always striving to raise money for the endowment for the Persian Mural and its future.”…
