Lincoln Mayor announces city’s LEED Platinum Certification

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Lincoln Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird announced the city’s LEED Platinum Certification on Thursday.

A LEED Platinum Certification is part of a green building rating system through the U.S. Green Building Council. It is the highest possible certification level within the rating system, symbolizing sustainability leadership, offering steps to achieve zero carbon, prioritize people and build for resilience.
