LINCOLN, Neb. — Moriah Gaddis was at home with her one-month-old son, Arthur, after a short NICU stay when she heard a cough that changed everything.
“I heard a big cough and it sounded like he spit up. So I turned right back around, went in and he was dead,” Gaddis said. “The kind of dead where somebody just passes away like all of the life drained out of them.”
