Lincoln Parks and Recreation will conduct a controlled burn Wednesday in Wilderness Park as part of ongoing restoration work and efforts to reduce wildfire risk.
Parks staff will burn brush piles from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in an area southeast of South First Street and Pioneers Boulevard.
The work will require a temporary closure of the Yellow Trail between markers 19 and 22. The trail section will close at 9 a.m. Wednesday and is scheduled to reopen at noon Thursday…
