LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Police were called to a car crash involving a train in north Lincoln on Friday.
The crash was reported near North 33rd Street and Madison Avenue at 8:54 p.m.
According to the Lincoln Police Department, the driver of a northbound Chevy Cavalier reportedly attempted to circumvent the active lights and barrier at the railroad crossing to beat the westbound train. The driver failed to clear the crossing before the train arrived…
