Warm weather continues; breezy with storms throughout the week

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) – After a fairly inactive week of weather, things start picking up this week. Tonight, temperatures dropping to only the mid 60′s for most of the state as showers and thunderstorms develop overnight mainly impacting western Nebraska. Monday morning another round of storms should develop around the Tri-Cities moving east into the afternoon. These will fizzle out as they move into Lincoln leaving just a few showers and maybe a rumble of thunder for Eastern Nebraska tomorrow afternoon. Areas impacted by the morning storms will see temperatures in the low to mid 80′s given there isn’t as much time for the temperatures to heat up. Highs in the upper 80′s to near 90 for areas west of Lexington, and highs in the upper 80′s for Lincoln and areas South and East. Winds for most of the state will be a bit breezy around 15-20 mph.
