Filing: Man accused of killing Stromsburg couple and unborn baby aims to avoid death penalty

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Lincoln man accused of killing a Stromsburg couple and their unborn child is seeking to avoid the death penalty.

Court documents filed Tuesday show that 24-year-old Sterling James’s attorneys filed a motion to quash and declare the death penalty statutes unconstitutional.
