LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Lincoln mother is suing two officers with the Lincoln Police Department, after she said they used excessive force towards her teenage daughter back in 2023.
According to a complaint filed in March, the mother said her daughter and friend were walking near a park when another girl started throwing wood chips at them. She said someone in the area called police.
According to court documents, two officers showed up and started yelling at her daughter. The complain shows one of the officers threw her on the group, put her in handcuffs before dragging her to a police cruiser. The mother said she was taken to youth services, despite requesting her release…
