Police intercept shipment of 99 pounds of marijuana bound for Lincoln man, court records show

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Lincoln man was arrested after allegedly picking up 99 pounds of marijuana before being intercepted by police.

On Wednesday, investigators with the Lincoln Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force received information from the Omaha DEA that Alex Hernandez, 25, would be receiving a large shipment of marijuana from a delivery truck.

Investigators began conducting surveillance in the area of 25th and E streets, where it was believed that Hernandez was going to obtain the shipment, Lincoln police said.
