Since coming to Nebraska, new offensive line coach Geep Wade has talked a lot about what he expects from his Husker charges. He’s also offered some pretty good sayings and mottos that could help make the difference between winning and losing. Wade has long been a very talented O-line coach, and that could be the biggest factor in expecting some very impressive improvements compared to when Donovan Raiola ran the NU offensive front.
Geep Wade gives Nebraska football a different offensive line approach
Earlier this week, Wade talked to Hurrdat Sports about his official philosophy. In short, the new Huskers’ O-line coach believes that yelling and getting in players’ faces is the way to get them to play well. It’s all about teaching and then letting those taught find their own motivation.
“A lot of coaches yell at people, ‘get your dang hand inside.’ You know what I mean?” the Nebraska football coach said. “I don’t do that. I coach those guys. But I’ll demand the effort. You know what I mean? The finish part. And I, and of course I’ve learned over time.”

“To be great, you’ve got to be different. And I came to Nebraska to be great. I want to be the best. We’re all competitors. So, you know, I think that. You know, kids are going to have a bad day in class or their girlfriend or stuff.”…
