Scammers use forged tax letters to target Arkansans

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Fraudsters are circulating fake tax notices that urge Arkansans to pay steep upfront fees for relief services, officials say.

Atty. Gen. Tim Griffin said the letters claim consumers owe back taxes or could face tax liens, wage garnishments, or other penalties if they don’t pay.
