VIDEO: 130 MPH Pursuit Ends With TVI Crash, Four Firearms Found, ASP Says

CRITTENDEN COUNTY, Ark. — An Arkansas State Police pursuit that began on the Interstate 40 Hernando de Soto Bridge reached speeds of more than 130 mph before ending with a Tactical Vehicle Intervention and two arrests, according to an ASP report.

The pursuit happened around 1:30 a.m. May 11 after Sgt. Roberts, Trooper Billy Puckett and Trooper Collier Wright were returning to Arkansas after escorting an elderly woman across the bridge into Tennessee, according to the report.

Troopers said they observed a vehicle traveling 109 mph in a posted 55 mph zone as they entered the interstate. As the vehicle approached the Arkansas state line, it suddenly braked and slowed to about 91 mph before a traffic stop was initiated…
