Joseph Duggar requests amendments to two court orders in latest hearing

BAY COUNTY, Fla. — In a court hearing on Tuesday, Joseph Duggar, the Arkansas-based reality TV star charged with child sex crimes in Florida, requested an adjustment or dismissal of two court orders.

Duggar and his counsel requested an adjustment to a court order barring Duggar from having unsupervised contact with any child under 18. The defense argued that Duggar’s children are not the alleged victims in this case, but the judge denied the motion.

Another motion was made to amend an order barring Duggar from being within 500 feet of the alleged victim’s home. Duggar’s counsel claims the alleged victim moved out of the house; furthermore, they say Duggar owns the property and needs to be able to work on it. The judge denied this motion on the grounds that if any work needs to be done on the home, Duggar can send employees to do that work…
