LITTLE ROCK — Sunday marks the start of the Arkansas Activities Association’s mandated summer dead period for high school sports.
The dead period lasts for two weeks and will go from Sunday, June 21, through Sunday, July 5.
During that time, no athletic competition is allowed and all athletic facilities are closed. The AAA said the dead period allows for a break for both student-athletes and coaches and allows schools to perform any needed maintenance to athletic facilities…
