LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Arkansas Stop the Violence held its annual awards service Sunday, recognizing community leaders making an impact across the state.
The organization, which works to reduce violence and promote unity, named Brother William Graves as Peacemaker of the Year, the Rev. Tim Campbell as Man of the Year, Pastor Michael Jenkins as Officer of the Year and the Rev. Jermaine Rudd as Pastor of the Year.
Campbell said the honor was especially meaningful because it came from the group’s founder, the Rev. Benny Johnson, who also served as his former track coach and mentor. He credited Johnson’s influence with shaping his work today, including mentorship efforts like the Big Brother Brunch…
