LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Two Arkansas technicians received top honors at the Arkansas Technician Championship, an annual competition recognizing the state’s top commercial vehicle technicians.
Rush Truck Centers technician Canaan Silcox was named the Truck Technician Grand Champion and Tyson Foods technician Jordan Burris was named the Trailer Technician Grand Champion.
The competition was held Friday, June 26, at the Rogers Convention Center. It was hosted by the Arkansas Trucking Association.
During the competition, Silcox tested his skills across 12 technical stations and completed a written exam. Burris demonstrated his skills across eight technical stations before completing a written exam covering vehicle systems, diagnostics and maintenance principles…
