LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas Jonathan D. Ross said a man was sentenced on Wednesday to a 27-year prison term for selling fentanyl that resulted in a death.
Ross said 33-year-old Trent Porter of Beebe was given the sentence after being convicted of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl resulting in death. His co-defendants, 50-year-old Lamont Kirk and 43-year-old Willie Johnson, both of Little Rock, were sentenced in 2025 to 13 and 14 years, respectively, for their roles in the conspiracy.

The person whose death factored into the sentences had taken a single fentanyl pill he bought from Kirk on the day he bought it. He died at Kirk’s residence, officials said.
