Deana Carter brings ’90s country hits to Cherokee Roland stage

Country music fans can catch one of the genre’s defining voices of the 1990s when Deana Carter performs at Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland next month.

Carter will take the stage at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Lee Creek Tavern inside the casino. The concert is free for guests ages 21 and older.

Carter broke through with her 1996 debut album, “Did I Shave My Legs for This?,” which sold millions of copies and featured the hit singles “Strawberry Wine,” “We Danced Anyway,” and “How Do I Get There.” The album topped country and pop charts and produced three consecutive No. 1 country singles…
