As many kids get ready to head back to school, Mother Nature is reminding everyone that summer isn’t over just yet. You definitely felt the heat if you stepped outside today, with temperatures climbing back into the mid-90s and heat index values exceeding 100 degrees.
Extreme heat warnings and heat advisories are in effect across parts of Missouri and Arkansas as the warm temperatures stick around. For the upcoming week, every day looks to be dry and hot.
Expect more of the same Monday as temperatures once again climb into the mid- to upper 90s, with heat index values ranging from 100 to 105 degrees.
There will be no signs of cooling down on Tuesday and Wednesday. In fact, some locations could make a run at the warmest temperatures we’ve experienced so far in 2026…
