The Arkansas Cinema Society’s annual Filmland festival returns to Little Rock with screenings of Arkansas-made films, special presentations, filmmaker workshops, networking events and a 40th anniversary screening of Ruthless People as part of a celebration of independent filmmaking and Arkansas storytellers.
The Remarkable Resignation of Dr. Joycelyn Elders – Tuesday-Thursday
Beginning Tuesday, the Arkansas Repertory Theatre opens its world-premiere production about Dr. Joycelyn Elders, the Arkansas native who became the nation’s first Black U.S. surgeon general.
