Longtime investigator John Hogue has been appointed the next state fire marshal, the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management announced Monday.
Hogue is a certified investigator of fire and explosions, and a licensed private investigator, according to a press release from the agency. Hogue, who has 32 years of experience in fire, explosion and hazardous materials investigations, is “uniquely qualified” to lead the state’s fire prevention and investigative efforts, the release said.
“John’s depth of experience and proven leadership in complex fire and explosive investigations make him an outstanding choice for State Fire Marshal,” ADEM Director A.J. Gary said. “His commitment to public safety, professionalism, and interagency coordination reflects exactly what this role requires to best serve Arkansans.”…
