LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin said on Tuesday that the state prevailed in a judgment against Capital City Tree Service LLC.
Griffin said the jury in Pulaski County District Court found that the business violated the Arkansas Deceptive Trade Practices Act 47 times. Each violation of that law carries a $10,000 fine, he explained.
The court also ordered the tree service to revise its customer contracts to clearly disclose its dealings with insurance companies and consumers’ financial responsibilities.
